I always assumed that when you evolve a Pokémon, the evolved Pokémon’s stats will be randomly generated upon evolution. Since the release of the Pokémon Appraisal system, instead of keeping the Pokémon with the biggest CP of each type I’ve been appraising them after evolution and getting rid of the worst one, regardless of CP.
Then I thought to myself, I wonder if Pokémon appraisals come out the same pre and post evolution. That way, I could only evolve the ones that are worth evolving, using the candy more efficiently and getting more perfect Pokémon.
My initial tests on a Pidgey and Poliwhirl showed that Pokémon do have the same appraisal results before and after evolution. I’d love to hear results of anyone else testing the same thing.
