After about 30 seconds of inactivity, my phone’s screensaver comes on. This seems to stop me from being able to find Pokemon and clock up kilometres to hatch eggs.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to have Pokemon Go running without having to constantly look at and touch the screen? I think a big part of using this game is to get me outside doing stuff and visiting places. It would be really good to be able to go outside and enjoy the outside without having to constantly look at my screen.

Turn the battery saver on, in the settings. Then when you have the game going but turn your phone upside down, it invokes the games built in ‘screen saver’. When you come in range of a Pokemon, it then vibrates to alert you that there’s a Pokemon around, ready to be caught.
